Combining the apps Make and Telegram, Rob automated a bot to find openings in his online calendar, and give him a choice of slots to fill. Then, it can set the appointment with the third party, all in just one command. He can also set up a Zoom meeting for that slot verily easily, using a single voice prompt.
AI Schedule App – How A Bot Handles All Of Rob’s Appointments
Rob begins the clip by opening up the first app in the sequence. He explains that Telegram is a secure messaging app similar to Whatsapp. Hi displays his phone screen, as well as his desktop in order to better illustrate the connection.
Then shows the integration (or “Scenario”) in the Make app. The Telegram bot receives a request, then connects to Rob’s Google Calendar. When the calendar creates an event, it pings back to the Telegram bot. Then, Telegram sends a text or email reply, depending on the initial contact to finalize the appointment.
Once the appointment is booked, a confirmation message is sent via Gmail. If the applicant requested a Zoom meeting, then the automation also books it and includes the link in that confirmation email.
